Overview

Program Overview

Front-end engineering is the discipline of building everything a user sees and touches on a website or application — layouts, buttons, animations, forms, and real-time data displays. This program teaches you to construct those interfaces from scratch using industry-standard languages and frameworks, progressing from foundational HTML/CSS through JavaScript programming to building production-grade React applications. Every module is project-driven: you write real code, debug real problems, and ship real features from week one.

Nigeria’s digital economy is growing faster than its developer pipeline can keep up. Over 50 companies, including fintech leaders and banks, are recruiting front-end engineers year-round. Remote roles with international companies pay ₦800,000 to ₦3,000,000+ monthly. This creates immediate career entry points for trained graduates, even those without a computer science degree.

React, the main framework taught in this programme, is used in over 70% of Nigerian front-end job ads. Despite the growing African developer community, many front-end roles remain unfilled. Globally, front-end development is a top-10 tech skill, with median salaries of £60,000/year in the UK and $60,000–$120,000/year in the US. In Nigeria, mid-level front-end developers earn ₦300,000 – ₦700,000/month at product companies, with senior roles reaching ₦1,500,000/month.

Go from zero coding experience to a portfolio-ready, employable front-end engineer in 12 weeks. By graduation, you will have built multiple responsive websites and React applications, managed code with Git/GitHub, consumed live APIs, and completed an internship that gives you professional work experience before your first job application.

Audience

Who This Program Is For

This programme is designed for complete beginners who want to start a tech career without coding experience. It’s also suitable for university students and recent graduates looking to gain a marketable technical skill, career changers from fields like banking, education, or marketing who want to transition into software development, and small business owners who want to build or manage their own website.

If you’re already in a related field like graphic design, digital marketing, or IT support, this program will enhance your front-end engineering skills and boost your earning potential. The cohort structure suits working professionals: classes meet three days a week for two hours, with assignments and projects to build proficiency between sessions.

Entrepreneurs and freelancers will benefit from the practical, project-based approach. By the end of the cohort, you will have the skills to take on paid web development projects independently, whether locally or through international freelancing platforms.

Skills

Tools & Core Competencies

Graduates will learn to create responsive, multi-page websites, develop dynamic single-page applications with React, integrate third-party APIs, manage collaborative codebases with Git, and deploy production-ready web applications. These skills are directly tested by Nigerian employers and international remote clients during technical interviews.

Curriculum

Syllabus & Course Modules

The curriculum spans six modules delivered sequentially over a 3-month cohort cycle. Each module builds on the previous one, progressing from foundational markup and styling through programming logic and culminating in a production-grade React application. Hands-on projects accompany each module so that learning is immediately applied.

You will learn how web pages are built from markup, how to structure content semantically, and how to create forms, tables, links, and media-rich pages.

Styling and layout mastery. From selectors and the box model through positioning, pseudo-classes, animations, and responsive media queries — this module gives you full control over how web pages look and behave across devices.

Rapid prototyping with a CSS framework. Learn to use Bootstrap’s grid system and pre-built components to build professional-quality responsive layouts quickly.

JavaScript powers dynamic and interactive web pages through variables, data types, asynchronous operations, and API consumption.

Master modern front-end frameworks. Build component-based single-page applications with React, including routing, hooks, state management with Redux, API integration, and deployment.

Professional code management: Learn the tools and workflows developers use to track changes, collaborate on code, and ship software.
