Overview

Program Overview

This 3-month intensive program covers defensive and offensive cybersecurity. Students progress from networking fundamentals and OS hardening through web application attacks, ethical hacking methodology, and SIEM-based threat monitoring using Splunk and Wazuh.

Graduates leave with a portfolio of hands-on projects and practical skills for entry-level roles in security operations, penetration testing, and IT auditing.

4.8 million cybersecurity positions are unfilled worldwide, and the gap is widening. In Nigeria, regulatory pressure from the Central Bank and the Data Protection Act has made security hiring urgent across banking, fintech, telecoms, oil and gas, and consulting. Remote work has expanded access, allowing Nigerian professionals to serve international employers and clients.

The BLS projects 33% job growth for information security analysts through 2034, with a U.S. median salary of $124,910. In Nigeria, entry-to-mid-level analysts earn ₦150,000 to ₦700,000 monthly, while senior specialists earn ₦800,000 to ₦1,500,000+. Certifications like CEH, Security+, and CISSP carry salary premiums of 20% to 80%.

Become a job-ready defender and ethical hacker in 3 months. Learn to scan networks, exploit web application vulnerabilities, harden operating systems, and monitor live threats using SIEM tools. Gain practical skills, portfolio projects, and professional confidence for SOC analyst, penetration tester, and cybersecurity analyst roles in Nigeria and internationally.

Audience

Who This Program Is For

Complete beginners with no prior IT or programming experience, including recent graduates, NYSC members, and self-taught learners, can enter the cybersecurity field.

Career changers from non-technical backgrounds like banking, law, accounting, or administration can pivot into a high-demand tech career without coding knowledge.

IT professionals in networking, system administration, or helpdesk roles can specialise in cybersecurity or add offensive security skills.

Entrepreneurs and business owners can learn how to protect their digital assets, evaluate security vendors, and implement basic security practices.

Students and young professionals interested in remote and freelance opportunities in penetration testing, vulnerability assessment, or security consulting.

Curriculum

Syllabus & Course Modules

The curriculum is divided into 8 modules, starting with basic cybersecurity concepts and progressing to hands-on offensive security and real-time threat monitoring. Each module includes instructor-led sessions and practical labs, culminating in a capstone project simulating a complete security assessment.

Covers the core principles of information security, the threat landscape, and career pathways in cybersecurity. Students learn to think like both attackers and defenders from day one.

Builds the networking foundation essential for all cybersecurity work. Students learn how data moves across networks and where security controls apply.

Covers how to secure and harden the two operating systems cybersecurity professionals encounter most. Includes hands-on labs configuring permissions, firewalls, and access controls.

Focuses on the OWASP Top 10 vulnerabilities and how to identify, exploit, and remediate them. Students work with deliberately vulnerable applications to practise real attack techniques in a safe environment.

Introduces the structured methodology of ethical hacking. Students learn to scope engagements, gather intelligence on targets, identify weaknesses, and demonstrate exploitability through simulated attacks.

Hands-on training with the tools used by professional penetration testers and security analysts. Students build practical proficiency through lab exercises that mirror real engagement workflows.

Covers the policies, procedures, and legal frameworks that govern professional cybersecurity practice. Students learn to build incident response plans and stay current with evolving regulations.

The capstone module. Students deploy and configure industry-standard SIEM platforms to monitor, detect, and investigate security events in real time, building the exact skills SOC teams use daily.
